Our standard weight limit for the tubes is 250 pounds. That limit is in place for safety reasons and to ensure the tubes perform as designed under typical river conditions.
We have successfully had individuals over 250 pounds float in the tubes without incident. The guideline exists to reduce the risk of tipping, instability, or excessive submersion, especially when river conditions shift.
River flow can change throughout the day due to weather or natural fluctuations. At times the water may be higher and faster; other times it may be lower and slower, increasing the chance of getting stuck on shallow spots or rocks.
For everyone’s safety, all guests need to be comfortable adapting to these changes. This includes being prepared to shift their weight, navigate around obstacles, and, if necessary, safely exit the tube and walk it through shallow areas. Our goal is for everyone to have a fun experience, but safety and the ability to respond to changing river conditions must always come first.
Our 1 hour and 30 minute river tubing trip down Zion Virgin River is a relaxing and scenic float, but guests should come prepared. Even on mild days, the sun and desert climate can be intense, so it’s important to stay hydrated before and during your trip. We recommend drinking plenty of water, wearing sun protection, and bringing a secure water bottle to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience on the river.
We allow children ages 4 years old and up.
Required by our insurance and for your child's own safety.
Everyone MUST have their own tube. It can be dangerous to hold your child on your lap as our tubes are made for one person. The tubes have handles to make it easy to hold your child's tube. It is safer all around for each person to have their own tube.
Our owners grew up tubing the river in Zion and Springdale, Utah and love sharing this family-friendly activity to all those visiting!
We make it so simple by having your access to the river be the same area you check in at. Arrive at our entrance point and park your vehicle located at 2250 Zion Park Blvd Springdale, Ut 84767. After signing waivers and you're all checked in you'll be able to get right on the river! No waiting for shuttles!
Once you enter it is typcially 90 minutes from start to finish. We have a shuttle ready for you with a friendly staff member to bring you back to your vehicle.
This is a self-guided tubing experience. We do not provided guided trips. Shuttles and tubes provided only.
Small personal coolers are allowed on the river(think backpack), but they must remain secured inside your tube at all times. For safety and environmental reasons, coolers may not be removed from the river during the float, as much of the surrounding land along the route is private property.
Keeping your cooler inside your tube helps protect the river corridor, respect private landowners, and ensure a smooth experience for everyone.
Floating the river in Zion requires you to wear items you are okay getting wet! We recommend bathing suits or shorts. We require footwear (trust us, you'll want it). Flip flops are ok, but we recommend a shoe with a heel strap.
The river can be unpredictable. Leave your valuables behind as items have been lost to the river before.
During our season, we are open rain or shine, 7 days a week.
Safety is our number one priority as we've seen the effects of poor river choices. With constant monitoring of the weather and river levels, we will not put tubers on the river in the event a storm (s) is nearby. We have safety protocols in place if the weather shifts and will not be tubers in the water if the river level is above a certain CFS.
The State of Utah requires children 12 and under to have a life jacket. Some adult sizes are also available.
Yes! This part of the river is know for having wild geese nests, blue heron sightings, falcons, small sucker fish, frogs, and lizards. Utah doesn't have any water snakes!
The river in Zion is a natural river and provides depths between 2-4 feet. With some deeper pools found along the way, the river can change with rain, especially during the months of July-September or monsoon season! We are happy to answer any questions you have about the water!

Due to our operation months being May-September you won't have cold water! The stays about 75ºF and will be much warmer than the part of the river for the narrows hike in Zion! Morning floats will be cooler due to the sun not warming up the water yet.
In some way shape or form, YES! You will only get soaked if you choose to!
